I love a good cocktail! This Clementine Bourbon Refresher was a new and unique way to use bourbon! You really get those flavors from the clementine, the hint of cherry, and of course that smoky bourbon flavor! This was really simple to make but the flavor profile is anything but! This is a drink to make for some friends when you want to impress them with your bartending skills! This drink made me feel exactly how I'd want to feel sitting out on my deck on a cool summer night! Relaxed and happy!
In a small saucepan, add sugar and water on medium heat. Simmer 5-10 minutes, stirring constantly until sugar is dissolved.
Allow to cool completely before storing in the refrigerator.
How do I make the Clementine Bourbon Refresher?
In a large bowl, add clementines, grenadine, and simple syrup. Muddle the ingredients, getting as much juice as possible.
Grab a small bowl and a strainer. Pour and strain the juices into the bowl, pushing down on the clementines with a wooden spoon to work out any of that extra juice. Discard fruit.
Fill two short glasses with ice, divide the fruit mixture between the two glasses, then top with bourbon.
Garnish Clementine Bourbon Refresher with clementine wedges and a dash of cinnamon!
