Pasta is always a favorite at our house! It's something the whole family enjoys and it's usually really easy to make! This Creamy Beef Bowtie was cheesy, creamy, and it gives a sort of cheeseburger vibe! I'm always looking for new ways to use ground beef and this recipe turned out so good! The cheese sauce really brings a comfort feel to this dish; and there was even a bit of spice which we loved!
To cook the pasta and build the creamy beef bowtie:
In a large pot of salted water, cook pasta to package instructions, then drain and set aside.
In a large skillet on medium, brown beef, breaking it up with a spatula as it cooks. Stir occasionally and cook until no longer pink, 5-7 minutes. Drain beef and set aside.
Place the same skillet on medium-low, add onion and cook for 2-3 minutes, stirring occasionally. When onions are translucent, add garlic. Cook a minute, until fragrant.
Add beef back to the skillet with onion and garlic, then add all other pasta ingredients besides the cooked pasta. Turn heat to low, stir to combine.
To make the cheese sauce:
Next, using that same pasta pot, melt butter on medium. Whisk in flour, stirring constantly until a roux forms.
Slowly pour in milk, keep whisking, then add cheese and all the cheese sauce spices. Stir and remove from heat when cheese has melted.
To serve:
Pour pasta and cheese sauce into beef mixture, stir well to incorporate. Heat on low for 2-3 minutes until warmed throughout.
Serve Creamy Beef Bowtie with fresh parmesan and parsley!
