Creamy Beef Bowtie
Last updated on January 17th, 2026
Pasta is always a favorite at our house! It’s something the whole family enjoys and it’s usually really easy to make! This Creamy Beef Bowtie was cheesy, creamy, and it gives a sort of cheeseburger vibe! I’m always looking for new ways to use ground beef and this recipe turned out so good! The cheese sauce really brings a comfort feel to this dish; and there was even a bit of spice which we loved!
Did you know?
Cheese sauces have been around a long time, far longer than mac and cheese has existed! This delicious sauce dates all the way back to medieval times! The classic cheese sauce is also actually French! Isn’t that interesting?!
What ingredients do I need to make this Creamy Beef Bowtie?
For the cheese sauce:
Milk
Shredded Cheddar
Shredded Mozzarella
Flour
Butter
Salt
Ground Mustard
Black Pepper
For the pasta:
Ground Beef
Bowtie Pasta
Frozen Corn
Beef Broth
Onion
Garlic
Worcestershire
Italian Seasoning
Salt
Chili Powder
Black Pepper
For serving:
Parmesan
Parsley
How do I make it?
To make the pasta and build the Creamy Beef Bowtie:
In a large pot of salted water, cook pasta to package instructions. Next, in a large skillet on medium, brown beef, breaking it up with a spatula as it cooks. Stir occasionally and cook until no longer pink, then drain beef and set aside until ready to use.
Next, place the same skillet on medium-low, add onion and cook a few minutes, stirring occasionally. Add garlic and cook until fragrant. When pasta is done, drain and set aside. Add beef back to the skillet with onion and garlic, then add all other pasta ingredients besides the cooked pasta. Turn heat to low, stir to combine.
To make the cheese sauce:
Next, using that same pasta pot, melt butter on medium. Whisk in flour, stirring constantly until a roux forms. Slowly pour in milk, keep whisking, then add cheese and cheese sauce spices. Stir and remove from heat when cheese has melted.
To serve:
Pour pasta and cheese sauce into beef mixture and stir well to combine. Heat on low for a few minutes until warmed throughout. Serve Creamy Beef Bowtie with fresh parmesan and parsley! Enjoy!
