Chocolate Cherry Coffee Milkshake
Last updated on October 14th, 2025
When the days are hot and you want a sweet treat, there’s nothing better than a delicious milkshake! This Chocolate Cherry Coffee Milkshake is infused with Cella’s Chocolate Cherry Flavored Ground Coffee from Two Rivers Coffee Co. The maraschino cherries, cocoa powder, New York Style Vanilla ice cream, whipped cream, and chocolate syrup all come together to give you almost a Frappuccino vibe! Not only will this sweet treat cool you down, it’ll also give you a little energy to power through the rest of your day!

So, with the coffee, does this mean I’ll get a caffeine boost?
I mean, definitely, yes! This recipe makes 3 generously sized milkshakes, and each one has about 1/3 cup of coffee’s worth of caffeine. That’s about a half a can of coke or a small square of dark chocolate! So, it’s pretty minimal! Which means you can give your kiddos some too (I did!) It’s totally fine! If wanting MORE of a boost, try making this recipe with cold brew instead! Don’t give that one to the littles though – I mean you can, but it’s your funeral ๐คฃ
You can also just use leftover coffee from the morning if you don’t feel like brewing it fresh! Fresh coffee will taste better and give more of those coffee vibes. It’s not too big of a deal though, just use coffee that’s less than 24 hours old!
What ingredients do I need?
New York Style Vanilla Ice Cream
Cella’s Chocolate Cherry Flavored Ground Coffee
Maraschino Cherries
Heavy Cream
Cocoa Powder
For serving:
Whipped Cream
Chocolate Syrup
Maraschino cherries
How do I make this Chocolate Cherry Coffee Milkshake?
The first thing you’ll want to do is brew your coffee and chill until completely cooled. I would recommend allowing it to cool on the counter for 10-15 minutes and then refrigerating it for about 30 more minutes. If the coffee is even room temperature, this milkshake won’t turn out great!

Once coffee is COLD, add all ingredients besides garnishes to a large blender. Blend until combined. If you feel like it’s too thick, add more cream or coffee! If you feel like it’s too thin, add more ice cream!

Garnish milkshake with whipped cream, chocolate syrup, and cherries! Enjoy!
