One-Pot Beef Ramen

Ramen just hits the spot sometimes! This One-Pot Beef Ramen was super easy to make and packed with flavor! And it has such a unique and complex flavor profile! My whole family loved it! My husband was rushing back to get seconds, and my son was intrigued by all the different veggies on the plate, he really loves pea pods! And what parent isn’t excited about their child being excited about vegetables!? This Beef Ramen was a total winner, and one-pot meals mean easy cleanup!

Beef Ramen is actually not traditional in Japan! The primary meat used in classic Japanese Ramen is pork! Due to economic and cultural factors, beef was far less common. Ramen featuring beef didn’t really become a thing until it became popular in the US in the 2000’s! And this was long after instant ramen became popular in many American households in the 1970’s! Pretty interesting stuff! Basically, these quick but flavorful versions of ramen totally upgraded in modern society which paved the way for all the trendy and unique versions we see today!
What ingredients do I need for the sauce?
Oyster Sauce
Soy Sauce
Brown Sugar
Fish Sauce
Ground Ginger
Salt
Black Pepper
Cayenne
What ingredients do I need for the ramen?
Ground Beef
Red Onion
Garlic Cloves
Frozen Stir Fry Veggies
Ramen Noodle Packages
Water
Beef Broth
Sesame Oil
Optional garnishes:
Sesame Seeds
Green onion
Roasted Peanuts
How do I make One-Pot Beef Ramen?
In a medium bowl, whisk sauce ingredients together and set aside. In a large skillet, heat sesame oil on medium. Brown ground beef, breaking it up with a spatula, cook until no longer pink. Then drain. Add in onion and cook for a minute or so, then add in garlic and cook another minute, until fragrant.
Stir in sauce mixture and all other remaining ingredients besides garnishes. Cover and cook on medium-high, boiling for a few minutes. Remove from heat and serve One-Pot Beef Ramen with sesame seeds, green onion, and chopped roasted peanuts if desired! Enjoy!

One-Pot Beef Ramen
Ingredients
For the sauce:
- 2 tbsp oyster sauce
- 2 tbsp soy sauce
- 1 tbsp brown sugar
- 1 tbsp fish sauce
- ยฝ tsp ground ginger
- ยฝ tsp salt
- ยผ tsp black pepper
- Pinch of cayenne
For the ramen:
- 1 lb ground beef
- 2 ramen noodle packages discard sauce packets
- 12 oz frozen stir fry veggies
- 4 garlic cloves minced
- ยฝ red onion sliced
- 2 cups water
- 1 ยฝ cups beef broth
- 1 tsp sesame oil
Optional garnishes:
- sesame seeds
- green onion thinly sliced
- roasted peanuts chopped
Instructions
- In a medium bowl, whisk sauce ingredients together and set aside
- In a large skillet, heat sesame oil on medium heat.
- Brown ground beef, breaking it up with a spatula as it cooks, cook until no longer pink, 5-7 minutes. Drain beef.
- Add in onion and cook for a minute or so, then add in garlic and cook another minute, until fragrant.
- Stir in sauce mixture and all other remaining ingredients besides garnishes. Cover and cook on medium-high, boiling 3-5 minutes.
- Remove from heat and serve One-Pot Beef Ramen with sesame seeds, green onion, and chopped roasted peanuts if desired!
