Asian Chicken Drumsticks
Last updated on January 7th, 2026
I love making drumsticks because they’re easy and delicious! Plus, my kids love them and they’re usually relatively cheap to buy in bulk! These Asian Chicken Drumsticks totally gave that Asian vibe that I was going for! I love the unique flavor of them, and the garnishes really took these to the next level! They made a great midday snack for us! There’s nothing like making Chinese flavors at home, plus it’s a lot of fun!

Did you know?
Soy sauce is over 2,500 years old! This flavorful salty sauce originated in China and is now a staple in many of our refrigerators all over the world! Isn’t that interesting?!
What do I need to make Asian Chicken Drumsticks?
Chicken Drumsticks
Garlic
Brown Sugar
Soy Sauce
Apple Cider Vingegar
Flour
Sesame Oil
Ground Ginger
Cayenne
Optional garnishes:
Green Onion
Sesame Seeds
How do I make them?
Line a large baking sheet with foil for easy cleanup, preheat oven to 425 F. In a large bowl, whisk all ingredients together besides sesame oil, garnishes, and drumsticks. Whisk until mixture is thick.
In a large skillet, heat sesame oil on medium, brown drumsticks 2-5 minutes, turning frequently with a tong. We’re just trying to get a little golden-brown color on these before we bake them, toss drumsticks in sauce, coating generously.
Bake for a while, flipping halfway through and brushing more of the sauce on. Broil for a few minutes on high on the middle rack. Serve Asian Chicken Drumsticks with sesame seeds and green onion as a garnish! Enjoy!
