Mashed potatoes are loved by all! These have all the good stuff in them! They’re buttery, comforting, and delicious! Mashed potatoes are the perfect side dish for your dinner, and they don’t take a ton of time to make! Plus, nothing compares to the real thing, they are an absolute classic! I like mine with a little bit of peel and chunk left in them to give the dish more texture! These go with almost anything and it’s a dish the whole family will enjoy!

What ingredients do I need for this?

Baby Reds
Half and Half
Butter
Shredded Cheddar
Salt
Black Pepper
Oregano
Garlic Powder

Optional garnishes:

Green Onion

How do I make it?

In a large pot of salted water, boil potatoes for 10 minutes, until fork tender. Drain potatoes, add them back to the pot, and move to a cool burner. Shake the pot around a bit to let off some of that excess steam, mash potatoes with a masher to get your desired consistency.

Slowly pour in half and half, stir to combine. Add in all other ingredients, mix well, and serve Creamy Mashed Potatoes with green onion if desired! Enjoy!

Tips:

  • You can use whatever potato you want, it doesn’t really matter!
  • If you don’t have half and half, splash in some milk instead. Cream cheese is another yummy addition along with sour cream!
  • If you don’t have green onion, stir in some chives instead! Alternatively, some minced parsley would be a great garnish!
